The Albany County Legislature will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, March 24, at 7:15 p.m. in the William J. Conboy II Legislative Chambers at the Albany County Courthouse for the purpose of addressing a limited agenda critical to the immediate function of various Albany County departments.

The health of our constituents, our members and our staff is our top priority,” Albany County Legislature Chair Andrew Joyce said. “Adhering to the restrictions put in place are a matter of life and death. This is why I directed our legislative staff to come up with this plan to have our members vote from the safety of their homes. I’d like to thank Governor Andrew Cuomo for moving so quickly in this crisis by issuing his Executive Order that gives local governments like ours the capability do to our jobs in a safe way.”
The Legislature has been in discussions with the County Executive, Sheriff, Comptroller and the County Clerk to identify shortlist items to make sure critical tax revenue continues, mandated year-end financial reports are finalized and capital construction projects can continue.
