7/23/2013 2:21:14 PM
During this 2-hour training session, we provide your employees with vital information about what to expect during an incident, what to expect from law enforcement, and how to respond to law enforcement. The course is available to any business or organization within Albany County, and will be conducted on your premises.
Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple Sr. is pleased to announce a course in civilian response to an active shooter. This training started out being offered to all Albany County employees, but due to demand we are offering it to any business or organization within Albany County. During the training, Sheriff's Deputies will provide vital information about what to expect during an incident, what to expect from law enforcement, and how to respond to law enforcement.
The Sheriff's Office has trained over 300 civilian employees at various County installations. In May, the training unit will conduct training for 200 members of the Department for Children, Youth and Families.
The training is approximately 2 hours long, and is conducted at the requesting business.
This is just another tool to make sure our residents are prepared in the event of an active shooter occurrence.
If any department, business or organization is interested in this training, please contact First Sergeant Gennaro Appell by phone (518) 694-3621 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
