Brian Hogan is serving his first term as a member of the Albany County Legislature. He represents the 21st Legislative District which consists of the Latham area east of Rt. 9 to Delatour Rd. and Grenada Terrace and south of Troy Schenectady Rd. to Spring St. In Addition to the area bounded by Rt. 9, Maxwell Rd. and Old Niskayuna Rd.
Brian serves on the Social Services, Public Works, and Civic Center committees.
He has most notably served for 25 years as the Director of the Colonie Youth Center and oversaw the planning, design and implementation of the construction of the Rudy A Ciccotti Family Recreation Center. Brian has also served as Director of Memory Gardens Cemetery, Assistant Director for the Troy Boys and Girls Club and Program Director for Senor Service Centers of the Albany Area.
Brian is graduate of Hudson Valley Community College, SUNY at Cortland and spent six months studying at the Polytechnic of North London.
He served eight years as member of the Colonie Town Board and the Town's Comprehensive Plan Committee, Comprehensive Plan Implementation Committee and the Crossings Park Development Committee.
Brian is a member and Past President of the Latham Kiwanis Club, a former board member of the Friends of the Pruyn House, a member of the Colonie Elks, has served both the Colonie Chamber of Commerce and the Albany Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a graduate of the Chamber's Capital Leadership Program.
