Mapping

Mapping staff provides mapping services in support of the department's technical programs and to the County Executive and other County agencies.

The maintenance and development of a geographic information data base, in coordination with other County agencies, with an eye toward the future development of a full-fledged countywide Geographic Information System, is a major priority.

The digital format AutoCAD© tax maps produced by Real Property Tax Service Agency are available for purchase, as well as the digital shapefiles which were produced from the tax maps for use in Albany County's Land Related Information System (ALRIS).
