Albany County Veterans Program Hits Milestone

Albany County's "Return the FAVOR" (Find & Assist Vets of Record) Program has enrolled its 1,000th veteran and signed on its 100th business.  Return the Favor is a merchant discount program for eligible Albany County veterans who receive a discount on purchases or services at participating merchants.

"Our veterans have given of themselves and I am so pleased that the business community is generously giving back to them," said Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy.  "Our Veterans Bureau and Acting Director Joseph Pollicino have been working hard to inform our veterans of the programs and services available and work with businesses to join the program.  Congratulations!"

Veterans can enroll by bringing their DD Form 214 to the Albany County Veterans Bureau on the ninth floor of the County Office Building, 112 State Street, Albany.  Return the Favor is a partnership with the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce, Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce, Colonie Chamber of Commerce and the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce.
