Albany County Honors Vietnam War Veteran Sheila E. Furlong

Albany County Executive Mike Breslin and the Honor-A-Veteran Committee commemorated Vietnam War veteran Sheila E. Furlong in a ceremony held on Monday, February 7, 2005, in the Cahill Room of the Albany County Office Building.  

Furlong was born on February 26, 1945 in Chicago and lived most of her life in Albany. She served in the United States Marine Corps as an administrative assistant from 1966 through 1969 during the Vietnam War. After her military service, she worked as a secretary for the New York State Office of Criminal Justice.
