Honor A VeteranAlbany County Honors Korean War Veteran Robert H. MorisseauAlbany County Executive Mike Breslin and the Honor-A-Veteran Committee commemorated Korean War veteran Robert H. Morisseau in a ceremony held on Monday, January 3, 2005, in the Cahill Room of the Albany County Office Building. Morisseau was born in Burlington, Vermont, but spent most of his life in Albany. He graduated from Cathedral High School before joining the United States Air Force in 1954. Morisseau served in the Air Force for more than three years, including a tour of duty in Japan. After serving in the military, he graduated from Hudson Valley Community College and worked for Montgomery Ward as an appliance repairman for 25 years and then as a rehab specialist for the City of Albany for nine years until his retirement. Morisseau was known as a “Jack of All Trades” and enjoyed spending time with his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth, his children, Robert, Brian and Brenda and his grandchildren.
