Chairwoman Krueger, fellow members of the Committee, thank you for this opportunity to speak before you today regarding the increasing pressures on our ability to provide and maintain affordable housing.
Each municipality in Albany County has its own unique and varied housing needs from workforce housing to the rehabilitation of vacant abandoned buildings to affordable housing for seniors and families. The lack of affordable housing is not something that has occurred overnight. For many years, communities within Albany County have struggled to meet the needs of our residents.…
