Healthy Families Albany County

bright beginnings

Healthy Families Albany County is an in-home support program to promote healthy families. The Program is offered through a partnership with Parsons Child and Family Center. Healthy Families Albany County offers parents a vast array of support services dependent on the results of a standardized needs assessment administered during pregnancy or shortly after the birth of their child by a trained Family Assessment Worker. Voluntary participation in the program's home visitation component partners the family with a Family Support Worker who will work with the parents until their child is entering kindergarten at five years old. The program assists parents with improving their parenting skills and increasing family support and strength. Healthy Families Albany County provides some visitation services to over 300 families in the City of Albany.
