Youth Services

Adolescent Employability Skills Plus Program, Inc.

Project will attempt to remove obstacles to training and employment for youth incarcerated at the Albany County Correctional Facility through the use of Early Intervention and a 12 Step education and training module.

Boys and Girls Club of Albany - Teenage Program

To provide a safe haven for teens (13-18). During the hours of 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM, the agency will offer recreation, cultural and social programs.

Cohoes Community Center, Inc. - Water Safety Instruction

Agency will administer a structured after school program that will emphasize constructive use of leisure hours, commitment, and responsibility in a safe and caring environment.

Colonie Youth Center

Two full-time School Prevention Counselors will work with the South Colonie School District and provide counseling, information and referral services to troubled district youth and their families. A Clinical Director and Prevention Counselor will provide these services to troubled youth and their families from the entire Town of Colonie.

Cooperative Extension - 4H Urban Program
Monday - Friday 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Program will offer an after-school program at the Watervliet Civic Center to include: informal education and 4-H youth programs involving hands-on participation to increase understanding of subject matter and social skills.

Homeless and Travelers Aid Society
Albany County Youth Homeless Emergency Services

24 Hour Emergency Services Also Available

Program seeks to address emergency needs of homeless youth in Albany County, through the provision of crisis intervention, referral and case management services. Staff will attempt to stabilize the immediate crisis and through follow-up, endeavor to break the cycle of homelessness.

To provide a safe place for youth, ages 5-14 years old, to go during after school hours. Agency will offer a wide variety of academic, recreational and cultural and employment education tools to these youth with special emphasis to the economically poor and vulnerable.
