Division for Children with Special Needs

Early Intervention Program:  A state wide program that provides a broad array of services to eligible infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. (Children ages 0-3)

Preschool Special Education:  In conjunction with local school districts an evaluation and services are provided to eligible children with disabilities. (Children ages 3-5). Special Education Contact Information »

Comprehensive Evaluation Services: This service provides confidential, accurate, independent assessment of your child’s development, and makes recommendations for services where indicated. (Children ages 0-5).

Children with Special Health Care Needs/Physically Handicapped Children’s Program: these programs perform various functions to assure that children up to the age of 21 with certain disabilities and/or chronic health conditions receive quality care while limiting the financial impact on families.

Social Emotional Intervention for Kids (SEIK): SEIK provides behavioral interventions for children 0-5 years in out of home settings.

Special Education Itinerate Services (SEIS): This service is an augmentation to existing SEIS programs within the County.
