Opt-out of Pre-approved Credit Offers
The national credit bureaus offer a single toll-free number you can call to opt-out of all pre-approved credit offers.
Simply call 1-888-5-OPTOUT (1-888-567-8688). You will need to complete a brief questionnaire over the phone and then you will be added to the opt-out list. After about 60 days, you should stop seeing pre-approved credit card offers sent to your name.
The opt-out is for the person who makes the request, not for the entire mailing address.
