What is EISEP?
The program is for Albany County seniors 60 + years of age, who need assistance with activities of daily living. An assessment will determine if the person is eligible. Seniors who are eligible to receive similar services under medicare, medicaid, or other government services, are not eligible for EISEP.
Will there be a cost?
The initial assessment for EISEP is free regardless of income. EISEP is a cost share program. Cost is determined by the senior's monthly income and specific housing deductions. The cost can range from no cost to a specific per hour charge. Case management is provided free of charge.
Am I eligible?
To arrange for an assessment, call (518) 447-7177. A caseworker will take the identifying information. The case will then be assigned to a caseworker. The senior will be contacted so an appointment can be set up in their home.
