Adult Day Care Program

Adult day care is for seniors (60+) who are physically frail or cognitively impaired, and in need of some assistance with activities of daily living. The program is designed to give caregivers help with caring for a loved one to: provide a day-long break from the 24hr caregiver role; allow caregivers to retain a job; or avoid the need for assisted living or a nursing home. Grants may be available for eligible seniors. To find out how to access services, call the programs listed below.

Some adult day care facilities offer planned therapeutic recreational activities a.k.a. the Social Model. Some adult day programs offer health care, a.k.a. the Medical Model (which includes nursing care and Alzheimer's or dementia care).
