Special Delinquency Prevention Programs

Adolescent Employability Skills Plus Program, Inc.

Project will attempt to remove obstacles to training and employment for youth incarcerated at the Albany County Correctional Facility through the use of early intervention and a 12-Step educational and training module.

Arbor House Reintegration Services (Catholic Charities of Albany and Rensselaer Counties)
Monday - Friday 9:00 PM - 5:00 PM

The program is designed to address the needs of adolescent women in order to prevent incarceration and re-incarceration. Program components include: individual and family therapy, advocacy and referral services for the multi-problem family.

Hispanic Youth Life Enrichment Program - Hispanic Outreach Services - (Catholic Charities Diocese of Albany)
Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 PM

Program will serve 100+ Hispanic youth and their families through the use of outreach services, cultural celebrations, summer recreation program, advocacy and referral services. Project will help these families identify and voice their concerns and needs, and also become familiar with the appropriate human services agencies and mentoring program.

The program meets a need for alternative sentencing by providing judges in Albany County with the option of sentencing youth in the juvenile and adult criminal systems, to community service in lieu of paying a fine or being incarcerated.
