The office of the County Clerk is located at 32 North Russell Road next to Westgate Shopping Center in Albany. We are open for business Monday through Friday, from 9:00am until 4:45pm.

From downtown Albany:
Follow Washington Avenue west to the beginning of Central Avenue. Follow Central Avenue 2.3 miles west to the intersection with Colvin Avenue (Westgate Shopping Center). Continue west to the next corner (Mavis Discount Tire) and turn right onto North Russell Road. Then see details below.
From Colonie:
Follow Central Avenue east to the City of Albany. When you see the entrance to Home Depot, get into the left lane. At Mavis Discount Tire, turn left onto North Russell Road. Then see details below.
From elsewhere:
Take Interstate 90 to Exit 5 (Everett Road) then proceed south on Everett to Central Avenue (Route 5.) Turn right onto Central Avenue for four-tenths of a mile to the intersection with Colvin Avenue (Westgate Shopping Center.) Continue west to the next corner (Mavis Discount Tire) and turn right onto North Russell Road. Then see details below.
From outside the Albany area:
Take the New York State Thruway to exit 24 , then travel east on Interstate 90 to Exit 5 (Everett Road) then proceed south on Everett to Central Avenue (Route 5.) Turn right onto Central Avenue for four-tenths of a mile to the intersection with Colvin Avenue (Westgate Shopping Center.) Continue west to the next corner (Mavis Discount Tire) and turn right onto North Russell Road. Then see details below.
Details:
North Russell Road: Drive past the Westgate Building. Just after the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center, turn left alongside that building to our parking lot in the rear. 32 North Russell Road is the side entrance under the EOC. Please note that the left entrance is the County Board of Elections and the right entrance (nearest the parking lot) is the County Clerk’s office and the Real Property Tax Service Agency.
