Sexual Harassment is any unwelcome verbal, non-verbal or physical advances, statements, or discriminatory remarks of a sexual nature made by someone in the workplace which the recipient finds offensive or objectionable, cause the recipient discomfort or humiliation, or interfere with the recipient’s job performance. Sexual Harassment

Albany County prohibits sexual harassment in workplace. Sexual Harassment is any unwelcome verbal, non-verbal or physical advances, statements, or discriminatory remarks of a sexual nature made by someone in the workplace which the recipient finds offensive or objectionable, cause the recipient discomfort or humiliation, or interfere with the recipient’s job performance.

The County will take all reasonable steps to prevent and eliminate sexual harassment by employees, non-employees including customers, clients and suppliers who are likely to have workplace contact with our employees.
