Screened senior volunteers provide companionship and support to homebound elderly through telephone calls, scheduled visits, and assistance with shopping.

Telephone Reassurance Services

Volunteers make regular telephone "visits" to the homebound elderly (60+) to help decrease the feeling of loneliness and isolation. Volunteers are trained.

Friendly Visitor and Shopping Assistance Program

Trains and matches volunteers with Albany County seniors to provide weekly socialization and shopping assistance to those who are generally homebound, isolated, and lack adequate support systems to obtain those services.
