The Honor-A-Veteran Committee commemorated the life of Thomas C. Brady at a ceremony held June 4, 2012.
Thomas C. Brady was born in Green Island, New York in 1927. He enlisted in the US Army in 1944 and served with the 4th Infantry Division in Europe during the Battle of the Bulge. Thomas was awarded a bronze star, the Combat Infantry badge and the WWII Victory Medal.
After his service, Thomas worked for Ford Motor Co. and was the director of the Albany County Veterans Bureau. Thomas was past commander of the VFW 729, Founder of the McNulty McCutcher VFW 259, Life member of DAV Chapter 38, Legnard Curtain American Legion, 4th Infantry Division and Battle of the Bulge Association and the Watervliet Elks.
The Honor-A-Veteran ceremony is held the first Monday of every month to honor a deceased veteran of the community.
