Albany County Executive Mike Breslin, Congressman Michael McNulty and the Honor-A-Veteran Committee commemorated Vietnam veteran David J. Boudreau at a ceremony on July 2, 2007, in Albany.
Boudreau was born on May 6, 1947 and was a resident of Watervliet. He served in the United States Army from March 1967 to March 1970 during the Vietnam War. Boudreau received a Purple Heart, three Bronze Stars with valor and the NYS Conspicuous Service Cross.
Boudreau was employed with the GE Silicone Plant and Altech Steel in Watervliet and was a life member of the VFW Watervliet City Post #720.
The Honor-A-Veteran ceremony is held every first Monday of the month to honor a deceased veteran of the community.
