Michael Perrin

Michael Perrin was appointed Deputy County Executive in September, 2007.   He brings more than 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors to the Authority’s Board.   Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Perrin served as Director of Operations for the County from March, 1997-August, 2007.  In that capacity, he provided general advice and counsel to the County Executive on government policy, budget, personnel decisions, communications and political matters.  In addition, his duties included major County project oversight, general County governance management and intergovernmental relations with County Legislators and staff, and elected officials at federal, state and local levels.  Notable projects overseen include:

  • Albany County Court Facilities Project – 3 buildings, $90 million
  • Health & Mental Health Complex – Renovation and purchase
  • Social Services Building – Siting, renovation and purchase
  • Hall of Records Building – Siting, reconstruction and purchase
  • Probation Building – Purchase and renovation

Mr. Perrin’s other career achievements include Director of Government Affairs for the American Lung Association of NYS; Special Projects Coordinator for the NYS Assembly, Speaker’s Communications; Legislative Assistant to Assemblywoman Joan Christensen;  Public Relations.

Mr. Perrin holds a B.A. in political Science from SUNY Oswego.
