Michael R. McNulty served 39 years in elective public office, and is now in the private sector. His record includes extensive experience at the local, state and national levels.  He served 10 terms as a member of the United States House of Representatives, and fifteen years on the House Ways & Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over taxation, international trade, health care, human resources and Social Security.  He was Chairman of the Subcommittee on Social Security.

Mike represented 106th Assembly District in the New York State Legislature from 1983 to 1988.  He served as Chairman of the Assembly’s Democratic Study Group. Chaired the Subcommittee on Transportation Capital Improvements and was a member of the Legislative Commission on Rural Resources and the Administrative Regulations Review Commission.  He also served on the 13-member New York State Commission on the Bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution.

Mr. McNulty became the youngest Town Supervisor in New York State when he was first elected at the age of 22.  He served for eight years as Supervisor and then became the Mayor of the Village of Green Island, and served in that capacity until his election to the New York State Assembly.  He was a founding member of the Hudson Mohawk Urban Cultural Park, and was Chairman of the planning Committee of the Capital District Transportation Committee.
