Katie’s Koats Final Numbers To Be Announced

January 21, 2014

Join Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy, Kaitlyn Drobner, Best Cleaner’s Tim McCann and HATAS Executive Director Liz Hitt as they announce the amazing number of coats brought in for the Katie’s Koats collection effort. In less than 30 days, a phenomenal amount of new and gently used coats were donated for the homeless and homeless veterans of Albany County. There are currently more than 18,000 veterans in Albany County. Last year more than 1,200 coats were collected, cleaned and distributed.

On Friday, January 24 at 11:30 a.m., County Executive McCoy will be at the Homeless and Travelers Aid Society, 138 Central Avenue, Albany to help hand out coats to those who need them.  Coats collected were cleaned for free by Best Cleaners.
