County Executive to Honor Living Veterans & Recognize Military Awareness Day

Posted: Friday, October 26, 2018 10:47 AM

There are nearly 20,000 distinguished veterans in Albany County alone who continue to give back to their communities and deserve to know their service has not gone unnoticed. Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy will recognize three exceptional individuals who have bravely served their country. This will be done in partnership with the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce and Crossgates Mall at our inaugural Military Awareness Day event.

Join County Executive McCoy for his biannual Honor a Living Veteran ceremony as he commends Adrienne Daniels, Joseph DiMura and Ben Oliveri on Friday, November 2 at 10:30am at Crossgates Mall, 1 Crossgates Mall Road, Albany, NY 12203 to show your support for local veterans who continue to serve their communities.

This will be the 11th such event County Executive McCoy has hosted since 2013, having honored some 32 veterans in the process, and will coincide with the First Annual Capital Region Military Awareness Day.
