Albany County, the City of Cohoes and Community Partners Team up for "Cohoes on the Move"

The Albany County Department of Health, the City of Cohoes, Capital Roots, Capital District Transportation Committee will kick of a special event in the city called Cohoes on the Move as a way to promote ways to ride, bike and walk in neighborhoods and to encourage safe community physical activity.  The event is being held to celebrate the city’s new Complete Streets policy, which aims to improve safety and walkability on streets for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians.

Activities include a bike skill obstacle course, bike safety training including helmet fitting, and the distribution of free helmets and accessories. Enjoy biking and walking routes that highlight historic buildings as well as access to parks and trails.  Learn about healthy eating and moving about in Cohoes.

This event will take place Sunday, May 21, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Canal Square on Remsen Street at the corner of Cayuga Street in Cohoes.
