Wednesday, September 13 | 1:00pm
Harold L. Joyce Albany County Office Building, Cahill Room
112 State Street, Albany

Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy will convene the county’s shared services panel to consider the final draft of the Albany Countywide Shared Services Property Tax Savings Plan. The panel vote must be held by September 15, after which it will be submitted to the state.

The panel consists of the chief executives of the county’s cities, towns, villages and school districts and has conducted a comprehensive review of potential avenues for shared services and taxpayer savings in accordance with legislation enacted as part of the 2017-18 state budget.

The county received assistance in formulating the plan from the Rockefeller Institute of Government and The Benjamin Center at SUNY New Paltz. As required, Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy held three public hearings to solicit input from the general public, as well as to inform them of ideas that have been raised by municipal leaders throughout the county.

The shared services panel meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 13 at 1:00pm in the Cahill Room of the Harold L. Joyce Albany County Office Building at 112 State Street.
