Girl Scouts Service Unit 190 Opening Bonfire

On September 11, 2016, Lawson Lake welcomed Girl Scout Service Unit 190 to hold their annual Opening Bonfire. This event signifies the start of the upcoming year for the unit.

Service Unit 190 comprises over 40 troops from the Bethlehem and Albany areas, and the scouts range from kindergarten through twelfth grade!

In addition to roasting marshmallows, the scouts collected donations for the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI); and made pillow cases for kids to welcome them to the Albany area.

Special thanks to the Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Department for their assistance and support!
