Project Growth

The Albany County Probation Department recently held their annual Project Growth restitution program with six individuals. The Project Growth program involves the young adult population who owe restitution for their crimes. This program involved youth ages 16 to 24. The four-week program was held 3 days a week, 10:00am–2:00pm, starting July 10, 2017 and concluding August 3, 2017.

The group took part in service projects which included painting a barn located in Lawson Lake County Park. The project spanned over 3 days and the group would paint different areas of the barn and rotate each job. They did a great job. The following week there was a special luncheon held for them at 112 State Street with remarks from Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy.
