ALBANY COUNTY CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSION
Recognizing that it is in the best interests of the citizenry of Albany County to periodically review the Albany County Charter, the Charter Review Commission was established in 2012 for the purpose of identifying and proposing modifications to the size and structure of Albany County government which would result in cost savings and efficiencies.
The Commission is made of eleven non-elected citizens who are appointed by the leadership of the County Legislature.
